Cost & Budget Consultant may be responsible for cost or budget functions only or a combination of both. Responsible for the coordinating and leading the overall development and implementation of the budget and cost allocation process.

Essential duties to include, but are not limited to:

Plans and coordinates the budgeting and forecasting process.

Analyzes and prepares monthly cost allocation reports for senior management.

Provides leadership in budget, forecasting, planning and cost allocation methodology and tools.

Maintains and updates financial models.

Prepares various ad-hoc analyses of financial data for cost analyses, planning, modeling and forecasting. Performs other duties as assigned.

BA/BS in finance or accounting required. MBA, CPA or CMA preferred.

5-7 years related experience in accounting, reporting, business analysis required, preferably in the health insurance/ managed care field.

Cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience strongly preferred.

Highly motivated team player with ability to multi-task and to adapt quickly to changing priorities desired.  

Excellent analytical, oral, written, and PC skills required.
